Department of Railroad Integrated Systems (SIRA) had its 1^st Invited lectures on 12^th April 2018, the speaker was Mr. Ahn Byeong-Ho, the Executive Director of KORAIL. The lecture was titled “Introducing KORAIL and the profit of high-speed construction.” During the lecture, Mr. Ahn presented about the KORAIL operations with various technical aspects of the railroad industry. He also presented about the sensors and relay operations for controlling, monitoring of the parameters for railway operations. Implementation of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) in KTX with various benefits in tracking. He also motivated with enthusiasm and distributed the prizes to the students for responding his questions. Students asked various questions regarding the lecture and learned various aspects of technologies in the Railroad industry. We truly hope that the lecture was fruitful to all our students.
